Thankfulness is the quickest path to joy.

2020 has certainly been an interesting year by anyone’s standards, and we really don’t know when the upheaval will settle down. But there’s good news on the horizon. The first doses of the coronavirus vaccine have been administered to front line workers, and there are more on the way.

Lately, I’ve seen and heard many people exclaiming that they can’t wait until this crazy year is over. And I understand that sentiment. We’re heading into a holiday season where many families will not be getting together, and many more are missing family members who are sick or no longer with us.

Here at Blue Eagle Logistics, the year has been extremely challenging as I described in last week’s blog. From an abundance of truck capacity in the early months of the pandemic to the truck shortages we are experiencing now, the logistics industry has been upended. There’s been a lot to navigate this past year.

At the same time, as I look back, I realize that 2020 will always stand out to me as a year that individuals and companies rose to the occasion. People have shown grit, wisdom, and determination.

We are so grateful for the customers who have stuck with us during this difficult year. These relationships keep us going and remind us why we’re in this business.

At the same time, we are grateful for our awesome team here at Blue Eagle Logistics. Many of those on our team risked their lives to deliver important goods. While others stepped up and stepped in to support our business by working overtime, working late, and doing jobs they’d never done before. To work with this group has been a pleasure.

Finally, we’re grateful that the logistics industry continues to thrive. It’s no secret that many businesses have succumbed to financial troubles during this trying time, and we are so thankful for the continued support and business.

So I am not wishing 2020 away. I am looking back with gratitude on the people, businesses, and family members who shine a light on our communal dedication to doing our best in good times and bad.

Merry Christmas from Blue Eagle Logistics!
