Green Phase
According to Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf, Eastern Pennsylvania will enter the Green Phase on June 26th.
June: eCommerce Accelerates During COVID crisis
Here at Blue Eagle Logistics, we fully expect capacity to tighten in the near future as demand for eCommerce last mile delivery services increased 11.8% in Q1, 2020 according to reporting by Freightwaves. In addition, due to the pandemic, industry forecasts are predicting a permanent shift of consumer retail buying habits to increase final mile delivery.
Blue Eagle Logistics continues to provide residential threshold to the door and curbside delivery services while maintaining required social distancing and safety protocols.
Pennsylvania Opening Up: Green Phase
So what does June 26th’s Green Phase mean for Blue Eagle Logistics’ customers, air freight forwarders, freight brokers, truckload and LTL carriers?
Pennsylvania has been opening under a three phase process with the red phase being the most restrictive, followed by yellow and then green. The green phase eases most restrictions–a return to a “new normal” with continued mask requirements, encouraged telework, and limitations on gatherings of more than 250 people.
But we’re very excited because moving into the green phase means we are focused on getting the economy reopened.
Throughout the pandemic, Blue Eagle Logistics, operating as an essential business in the state of Pennsylvania, has worked diligently to follow all safety protocols, providing best practices and safe services for our customers while ensuring the continued health of our workforce. And we will continue to do so.
Forecasting the shape of the recovery will be difficult, but with preparation and advanced training, the team at Blue Eagle is positioned to continue serving the customers who depend on the exceptional expedited and last-mile delivery, warehousing and cross-docking services we provide.
